White Sweater Dress + OTK Boots

Happy Tuesday, friends! I hope everyone has had a lovely start to their week. Today of the second day (duh) of my daily posts for this week and I’m so excited to share this post. Once I started writing, I realized that this outfit was breaking many fashion rules:

  1. Shirts as dresses: For some reason, people are against wearing shirts as a dress, but this “dress” is actually a sweater that was long on me so I wanted to style it as a dress.
  2. White after Labor Day: It’s after Labor Day and I’m wearing white, oh well. I have never been a fan of this rule because y’all know that white jeans are a year around staple for me.
  3. Editing all pictures: I barely did any editing to these photos. My photographer and I decided to shoot this week on top of the parking garage downtown and were blessed with amazing light and sun at about 5pm, which worked to our advantage.

Anyway, I had so much fun with this outfit because it is simple, but composed of all my summer must-haves: Sweater dresses, blanket scarves and  over the knee boots. My sweater/dress is from one of my favorite retailers, PinkBlush. What I love most about this sweater/dress is that I can style it again this winter as a top with jeans and booties or with a blazer and pumps for a work social. This is my first year purchasing taupe over the knee boots but I absolutely love these. They are perfect for girls with thicker calves, like myself, because they have extra stretch in the back and the top half is a little loose. My earrings are super lightweight and my stretch bracelets are my fall jewelry staple. This outfit will be on major repeat this season, especially with the weather wavering between summer and fall and winter, all in a weeks time. Well anyway, that’s all that I have for you friends.
