Hey friends, hey! How are you guys? This week is flying by and if you read Monday’s post, you know that I’m trying out new morning routines. I have never been a morning person, so trying to get up earlier and trying new tasks you all suggested on Instagram, has been a struggle for me. I’ve been trying to get reading, blog work, emails and more done before I get an official start to my day. After this week, I’ll be refining my schedule and trying new things that I think may stick. However, I’m making it through this week curtesy of work wear that makes me feel my best.
In 2018, my most read #WorkWearWednesday post was this one styling a color block midi dress from Maggy London. Today, I’m back with a fresh #workstyle post sharing two of my current favorite styles: Ady Midi & Jill jumpsuit. With my more “normal” job teaching, I tend to stand all day long. Some days, I’ll stand for 3 classes then attend other meetings or blog events or dinner with friends, later in the evening. Because of so, a big factor when Iook for work clothes is comfort for long days but also style that helps me feel more confident in the front of the classroom. Since I can dress business casual or business professional, I tend to mix up my style based on mood. Above, I love the Ady Midi for meetings with potential clients outside the classroom, teaching for hours and going to dinner later. This dress literally takes me from 7am-10pm with a pair of comfy pumps and I could not love it more. If you dress business profesional, the length and coverage on this dress is perfect for you, especially with the modest colors. Below, I obsessed with the Jill jumpsuit for days of blog meetings, one on one student consults, working from a local coffee shop then off to shoot with a fellow blogger in town. Honestly, I think I spend most of the day staring at the gorgeous colbalt color and never get tired. As a petite woman, opted for the non-petite option of this jumpsuit so that I could have the extra length and flare style at the bottom. This outfit also causes heads to turn as soon as you walk in the room so if you have a big meeting coming up a need a little extra boost of confident, this jumpsuit will give it to you! Paired with a nice pair of comfy pumps and simple jewelry, I’m up and ready to go in no time at all!
How do you ladies dress for work? If you have the option to dress how you want, do you opt for business professional or more a casual look? I would love to know in the comments! Thanks so much for reading friends -xo, Azanique <3
