Ariene Bethea is founder, retailer and huntress of @dressmyroom Dressing Rooms Interiors Studio LLC, a boutique vintage furniture shop and design studio. Fueled by the thrill of the hunt for one-of-a-kind vintage pieces, she has a flair for mixing vintage with modern day furnishings to create bold culturally inspired designs.

Interviews like this are one of the reasons I started Where Art Meets Home. Talking to creatives like Ariene inspires me to follow creative pursuits relentlessly and have fun while trying new things!

Starting to work on primary bedroom #designplans i

Starting to work on primary bedroom #designplans in my new place and I’m lowkey missing my previous primary bedroom 😭 I probably had 4 months or so of this room being “complete” before I had to move (always happens at the most inconvenient times, am I right?)

I am totally up in the air if I should wallpaper again or paint. I haven’t painted a rental in many years but I’m strongly considering paint as a way to mix it up. Help me decide below!

the first signs of spring weather and my third watch of #withlovemeghan @meghan @netflix later, I’m ready for throw a Spring garden party 💐 My new place doesn’t have a yard like the last but I will make an oversized concrete space work just the same 👏🏾

I will take any excuse to use this tablecloth and matching napkins from my 2023 Paris trip (Indian block print makers and sellers) And lots of other pretty things from @helenitahome, @surlatable & my cristal d’Arque collection 💗

another really fun #colorstory coming together in the condo 😍 I know I totally should wait until the room is finished but honestly, I cannot deal with how much the heritage vine @chasingpaper paper has already transformed my #homeoffice ! For the most part, I’m using all my same office furniture, although this space is bigger, with a few pieces from around the house like my #cornerbanquette I waited 8+ months for (do you guys remember that lol what is my life sometimes).

Art has been installed like this lovely painting by @kfb_etc and my signed Jonathan Green print and a few more pieces around the room 💗

What’s next?
1. Some type of push pin or bulletin board for all my letters and notes and room planning inspo
2. Window treatment swap from the stark white blinds to something rattan or wicker
3. Potentially a new desk (or swapping for my old dining table that’s too small)
4. Another lamp & the second wall sconce once I find the missing pieces from the move

I’m feeling pretty happy that I purchased so many pieces I loved over the past few years which makes settling into the new place a lot easier. Also happily turning into an amateur #artcollector Happy Sunday, friends! #PeelStickLove

While everyone is dreaming of a bright Spring, I am still stuck on the warmth of winter and the comfiness of muted tones. I had too much fun setting this warm winter dinner table for four right before I moved out of my previous home and loved that I was able to highlight many of the small, women-owned brands that I love like @estellecoloredglass, @maisonvenu & @halfpastsevenhome 💗💗 Are your eyes on Spring or are you comfy in the winter season?

Working on the most fun color story for this room and I feel like this art piece by @imitationbyjerell was just what I needed 🖼️ Just working on finding two martini tables and then the living room will officially be done. Feeling really good about having a done space in the new home after only three weeks of living here and can’t wait to share the full view 🦋
