Happy Monday, sweet friends! It’s officially November and we are on the fast track to the holidays. I’m sure you’re reading this everywhere, and quite possibly feeling the same way, but how has time gone by so quickly? October was basically 1 second long and over before I could even think about it. Regardless, this time of the year always makes me so happy! I’m totally a sucker for getting your holiday decorations up early and turning on the Christmas music. This year, I’m excited to get a really cute, compact, flocked tree for my apartment. Last year, I had a huge classic green tree that I didn’t love and was a pain to put up then take down. Because of so, it stayed up well into March if I’m remembering correctly. *oh well*
Speaking of the holidays, it’s never too early to get a head start on what you’re going to wear to the 57 office, personal, family, church and social holiday parties. Like everything else I buy. holiday attire still must follow my Rule of 3. AKA I need to be able to wear what I bought to 3 different locations or events before it goes into the cart. This wine sheath dress fits the bill perfectly and is a comfy addition to my office wardrobe.
A simple v-neck, slightly puffed sleeves and a moderate length, this dress will take you literally from fall to holidays and back again next year. Since the color is deep, fall colored blazers, jackets and heels will match up well. I’m wearing my latest clearance shoe find for a simple everyday or conference look. However, if you’re into nudes in the fall, a simple pair of nude pumps with a long nude jacket will be a perfect match for you. For my business professional ladies, a black blazer and black pointy flats will hide the silhouette of the material but still give you a polished, tailored look. When you leave the office and head to happy hour, the dress alone with a pair of pumps will get you through the evening.
Since purple is a non-traditional holiday color, I would wear this for all the more structured holiday outings with colleagues or the mid-day celebratory lunch. Since most people stick to the traditional holiday colors of gold, red, green and glitter, wine is the perfect color to make a statement but still be in seasonal colors.
