Hey y’all! Happy, happy Friday 🙂 What are your plans this weekend? Later today I will be traveling to D.C. for a meeting on Capitol Hill and a dance showcase that evening. If y’all know me by now, you know I will squeeze in time for happy hour on a rooftop somewhere. I am so excited for this quick trip and am looking forward to meeting a ton of new people and hopefully getting some great pictures on Capitol Hill.
So today, I’m sharing some fun pictures from the Seasons52 Blogger Summer Menu Tasting at Seasons52 in Raleigh. Y’all, let me just say, this restaurant is a hidden gem in the triangle area. All of the staff were delightful and helpful in so many ways. The presentation of the food, the decor and wine bottle filled walls gorgeous. The best part about this restraint is that ever 13 weeks, when the seasons change, their menu changes to highlight what foods are in season. How cool is that? I think that is such a cool approach to always have fresh and new items, then mix it some of the restaurant favorites that tend to stay through the year.
Here are some of these amazing items we got to taste that evening:
Drinks: Watermelon Basil Infusion, Burbon Peach Smash
Flatbreads: Lobster & Fresh Mozzarella, Garlic Pesto Chicken, Fig & Bacon, Roasted Prosciutto Wrapped Fig
Entrees: Watermelon & Heirloom Tomato Salad, Caramelized Grilled Sea Scallops, Wood Grilled Pork Tenderloin, Roasted Prosciutto Wrapped Fig
Desserts:Key Lime Pie, Michigan Cherry Creme Brûlée, Belgian Chocolate S’more
My recommendations would be: Lobster & Fresh Mozzarella flatbread for an appetizer, Caramelized Grilled Sea Scallops for the entree, Belgian Chocolate S’more mini indulgence & the Burbon Peach Smash for your cocktail.
