Thank you North Carolina FC for providing us with suite tickets for this game.
Happy Monday, friends 🙂 I am so excited for this new week and the cooler temps that are coming our way. If you’re in North Carolina, you know that this weekend we skipped from fall straight to winter with temps in the 40s. However, I am ready to pull out the winter and fall attire and layer up this season. I am obsessed with colder weather and really miss it because in NC, the weather is warm up until Christmas day, with a little cold January & February, then back to warmer temperatures. As much as a I love the warmer weather, being from NJ, I am so used to having a full cold winter and getting snow multiple times throughout the season.
So last weekend, my mom and I were lucky enough to be able to attend of first professional football match EVER. The North Carolina Football Club is a new soccer team in Cary, North Carolina, which is about an hour from where I live. We attended the last home match of the season and got to enjoy it from the suite, which was the best experience y’all – forreal! The suite was full of dedicated fans and families, catered dinner, unlimited beer and wine, connected outside seating and multiples televisions. When we arrived, we grabbed ourselves a beer and head straight to the taco bar. Since we were new to professional soccer, we had a lot of questions but were so pleased that other people in the suite were also newbies and we connected to help each other learn more and better enjoy the match. At the halftime break, there was an ice cream stand not too far from our suite, so we traveled with some of the new people we met to grab ice cream and chat about how intense the game at been. At the end, we were tied 1-1, but were so close to scoring again in those final minutes. The most mazing thing was that after the game, news broke that the team had made it to playoffs, which is so wonderful and well deserved. My mom and I hope to attend another game in the spring or early fall, just so there is more daylight and we can tailgate with our friends. Overall, this was such a fun experience and I am glad I got to bring my mom along and meet so many new people. -xo, Azanique

That experience is so amazing. My oldest two kids are obsessed with soccer right now and play year round ( I don’t know if you know anything about ASD, but they they focus on a topic, it can get unreal!). I had no idea they have a professional team now. Getting them tickets for christmas might be a great idea!

That would be so fun! The game was a great experience especially being the suite because you have the option of siting inside or outside.

So fun! This makes me want to get out to a game – maybe a good date night with the Hubs? We used to watch so much soccer! I’m proud to have the professional team so close to home!

This looks like so much fun! I used to go to the pro women’s games in Cary (the now defunct Carolina Courage) and it was always a fun way to spend an evening.

I loved the original Carolina Courage too! <3 But now we've got the NC Courage that's the pro women's team and they are an awesome and competitive team! Definitely worth seeing them play if you used to like going to the games back in the day 🙂

When you said professional football game, I thought that you meant American football. It took me a minute to realize what was going on. When you left did you feel like you had learned a little about soccer.
Azanique Rawl says
Yes, I learned so much! I would love to go to another 🙂
