Happy, happy Thursday y’all! We are now officially less than 2 weeks away from fall! I know, I know – it will continue being 90 degrees in North Carolina until Thanksgiving. However, I keep believing that if I dress like fall, then fall weather will appear. They say declare what you want, right?
So, I’m sure as many of you have noticed, I am very petite. I am probably right at 5’0 and maybe 5’1 when I’ve been doing pilates and yoga all week. Just as all body types have, being petite can sometimes be a challenge when you want to try certain styles like wide leg pants or midi skirts. I’ve had my take on midi skirts and dresses a ton over the pass year and this season, I started shopping for some of the pant trends that I’ve always been too nervous to try. For the most part, I can find petite items at LOFT (always size up 1) and Belk and sometimes even Old Navy. Recently, I’ve been lucking out at Belk and found the most adorable fall ready, waist-tie, super flattering, wide leg pants for me.
Y’all, these pants are currently only $19 with code “LOVEFALL” and come in black and green. Similar to these skinny leg $12 pants I can’t stop wearing, these are super soft and have a flattering waist-tie feature to hug your waistline. I am usually a 8/10 in pants and dresses, so I picked up the medium and the fit is perfect for me. They feel fitted enough to stay up without being tied super tight but I also feel comfortable eating a cheesesteak in them. (Because ya know sometimes I have to do that. For my sanity, of course.) The shape of this top is still growing on me but it was literally a no brainer to pair the two for a fall look. Paired with my favorite fall cognac mules and KS earrings, I am out the door pretending it’s fall when the temperature in my car reads 89.
Well friends, that’s all for today! I am headed to a work conference on Thursday and Friday and am looking for a weekend of rest and cleaning my apartment. Now that we are closer to fall, I am ready to get more decorations and bring out ALL the pumpkins I’ve been storing since last year. I hope y’all have a great weekend! Haha I’m petite too but I still wear wide-legged pants! I actually find that if tailored correctly, they can actually make you look taller! I am really loving yours – the color is so perfectly autumn!
