Happy Thursday, sweet friends! Today I’m excited to share a new monthly blog series: (Lots of) Little Luxuries. As we’ve been home going on 7 months, I’m finding that every month I like to splurge something to pamper myself. In the beginning of quarantine it was loungewear, then for a while it was expensive cheese and last month it was flowers. And in October my friends, it was pajamas! Robes, night dresses, matching sets, slippers – you name it!
Early this month, I started to overhaul my lounge and sleep wear inventory. As you can imagine, all of my favorite mix-and-match tees and college sweats were starting to look ragged after months of daily wear and tear. So in true me fashion, I started a little internet research project to find the best pajamas available today. Seriously, hours of research all about materials, quality, wash directions and customer reviews for sleepwear to invest in. After that stint of research and looking at all the pajamas I’ve worn repeatedly, I was excited to get re-introduced to Soma. I’ve purchased from them in the past but honestly, it had been at least two years since they were even on my radar to buy from. The timing worked out perfectly because everything on their website was on sale.
At this point, I don’t think I have ever been happier to get ready for bed // wind down after a day of work. Because as most of us know, there’s something about wearing matching pajamas that makes me feel like my life is together. Like I’m an actual, real life adult surviving 2020. One who is very responsible and plans for the future and has a productive daily routine. Most of you know me well enough to know that this is usually true only about 45% of the time but if matching pajamas can make me believe it 100% of the time, then this little luxury was well worth it!
Outside of my set above, I picked up the noble tiger ivory + cascade floral navy prints. All three sets are the cool nights long sleeve tops with matching cool nights ankle sleep pants. The last item I added to my cart was this leopard print robe to build on my mini collection for more variety 🙂 The best part about the robe is that the belt tie doesn’t not come off AKA doesn’t stand a chance to be lost in the washer or when traveling.
Altogether, this month’s little luxuries totaled $130 and will bring me complete and giddy joy over the next year. In the comments, I would love to know what little luxuries you’ve treated yourself to this month.
Thanks so much for reading, friends! -xo, Azanique <3
