Happy Thursday, beautiful people! With spending a couple days out of town last week + at the beginning of this week, I’m excited to be back at my home base today enjoying the warm weather. Over on Instagram, I have a highlight of “unboxings” where I share my favorite PR packages and online orders. I am so grateful to receive tons of awesome goodies from Pixi Beauty and love integrating them into my skincare routine. Over the past few weeks, I’ve received a ton of requests to share a Pixi only skincare routine and uh, duh, what a great idea. No matter what your skincare routine includes, I feel like you should find a routine of products/brands that you love so you have space to explore new things but it doesn’t stop the routine you have. So, over the past two or so weeks, I’ve been doing a Pixi only skincare routine with masks and all. Let’s jump into it! *Also, you can click on any item in the picture below and you’ll be taken straight to the webpage for that item. Y A Y for technology!*
| Makeup Melting Cleansing Cloths – Anytime I wear makeup, I want to make sure I’m using makeup melting wipes then cleansing. Makeup wipes alone can’t completely remove all the makeup deep in your skin but melting cloths are a great product to get off the top layer of makeup and dirt from the day. These cloths are the perfect balance of removing power but still leave my skin feeling hydrated.
| Rose Cream Cleanser – After I get the top layer of my makeup off, the next step is cleansing. Since this is a gentle cleanser, there’s no lathering that will happen so I use a tiny bit of water to work the product into my skin for at least 60 seconds. Any left over makeup gets up, starts to come off and my skin feels completely refreshed after rinsing. Especially around my eyes, where I wear an eye cream, foundation and concealer, I make sure to throughly cleanse that area so there’s no makeup left once the day is over.
| Glow Tonic – Y’all, this glow tonic has been a game changer to my overall skin health. Pixi‘s glow tonic helps smooth skin, lighten dark marks and cleanse any impurities of the skin. Even if I’m not doing an entire Pixi skincare routine, glow tonic is part of my daily morning and night routine . If I see dark marks or acne scars, within a few days of using glow tonic on those spots, I can see lightening and evening of tone.
| DetoxifEYE patches – These are a new product from Pixi that I cannot get enough of right now. With a little spoon to easily get the patches out, detoxifEYE patches are easy and perfect to use before getting ready to go out. If you have puffy eyes, I highly recommend refrigerating the patches so they are cooling and soothing to the skin when you apply. After 15 minutes, your eyes will feel refreshed and brighter. Pro tip: make sure you press the remaining product into your skin after use for hydrated eyes all day long.
| T-Zone Peel Off Mask – Since my t-zone is a huge problem area, I will use this mask several times a week to clear up any breakouts and reduce the oil build up. With using powder to decrease oil lingering during long days, this area gets clogged with a ton of products so a peel off mask helps me see the dirt that is coming out of my skin. Just a few minutes after application, you’ll feel the mask start to tighten and turn into a peel from the original cream.
| Glow Mud Mask – After I get my eye patches secure and t-zone mask on, all the remaining areas of my face get a fresh layer of the glow mud mask. Especially on my top cheeks where there’s usually an overlap of eye products and full face products, I want the mud mask to sink into that area pull out anything clogged in my pores. On my chin, where I have mini breakouts after I weekend of bad eating, I like to apply a thicker layer and leave it on for a bit longer than the rest of my face. Mud mask are one of my favorite skincare products ever for combination skin.
| Collagen Eye Serum – With forever dark circles and deep lines around my eyes, I’m so excited for this (new to me) eye serum. After cleansing the masks off and removing the eye patches, I’ll use a few drops of this serum to press into my crows feet for replenished eyes. I’ve tried a ton of eye creams where most of them burn or irritate my eyes, but I haven’t had any irritation issues using this eye serum. With anything on such a sensitive part of your face, make sure you are using the recommended amount and pressing the product completely into your skin so you have a smooth application of makeup on top. This eye serum, when used as directed, will last several months so you get the full worth of it.
| Rose Oil Blend – To breathe life back into the rest of my face, the rose oil blend is the perfect weight to add to my face cream below. Throughout the day, especially in the winter, I’ll add a few drops to my face if I’m starting to see dry spots for instant hydration. You can use this oil alone or mix it in with your moisturizer.
| Rose Ceramide Cream – Can I talk about this holy grail face cream for a second? Since I have combination skin with a few definitely dry spots and a few definitely oil spots, I love this cream for an all over moisturized balance. It’s thick enough that my skin feels hydrated all day long but light enough that I don’t feel oily. This moisturizer also serves as a great hand cream. A little bit goes a long way so a small amount mixed with the oil above is enough for your entire face and neck.
| Rose Glow Mist – The last step in my routine is a spritz of glow mist! I admit that I have a problem with mists and usually spray them uncontrollably throughout the day, but can you blame me? After your skincare routine or just for an afternoon pick me up, a few spritz of this mist will give your skin an instant boost of hydration.
And that’s it! Overall, this routine will take about 20 minutes with the masks. If you cut the masks, you can be done the entire routine in less than 10 minutes and ready to walk out the door with a fresh face. When using masks, you can either take the time to relax or get other tasks on your to-do list done such as taking out the trash, putting clothes in the dryer, making a pot of coffee and so on. Since mornings are hard for me, I may spend this time eating breakfast and listening to my favorite two songs to give my morning a little extra pep. So friends, what’s your favorite Pixi product right now? I would love to know in the comments! Thanks so much for reading. xo, Azanique <3
