Happy Monday, sweet friends! I hope you guys had a great weekend and your day is off to a fun start. Today starts a WFH hybrid week of only being in the classroom one full day and being able to work from anywhere all the other days. In case you missed it, last week I hit publish on a long, in-depth post all about discipline and why I’m craving better morning routines this season. You can read more about it here, but I’m excited to say my first few days of this new morning wake-up call have been hard but worth it.

Okay, let’s think back to maybe 2006 or 2007 when the beloved skinny jeans came in style. Me in all my fashionista glory begged my parents for every color and wash of skinny jeans in Atlantic County. Since then, I can think of only one pair of non-skinny jeans I’ve purchased that get very little play in my wardrobe. I am very committed to that style being my style forever. When it comes to work wear, I love skinny style pants such as the Pixie pants from Old Navy but was searching for a softer slip-on pair to add to my work wardrobe during the fall. Last year, during the Family & Friend’s sale at Talbots, I picked up these Pants have not turned back since. The pull-on are my absolute favorite because since they have no button or zipper, they don’t become irritating as the day goes on. Plus, they are high-waisted and do an amazing job of hiding the 8 tacos I eat during lunch on days when I teach. I picked up my normal size and the bottoms have a little extra room so they look more like skinny leg pants versus leggings.

Since these pants are a little more than I would traditionally spend on work pants, I wait for times like now where they are on clearance in several colors with an extra 30% off making them under $50 – right on target with my budget. Even though Pixie pants are still in my work rotation, I’m looking more and more at replacing my current pixie colors for these since they are 100X more comfortable and withstand washing better (almost no fading or chub rub thinning). So friends, what are your favorite work style of pants? Are you allowed to wear skinny leg pants at the office? Let me know int he comments. Thanks so much for reading -xo, Azanique

I love these pants! My go-to pants for work are the same style: skinny pants with some stretch! I normally wear black or navy though, but your post is making me want to grab these!
