Hey friends hey, happy Wednesday to ya! I hope each of you had a beautiful Christmas holiday and are enjoying your time off. I had a super lowkey holiday where I actually didn’t do any work and cuddled on the couch with my pup all day. That shouldn’t be a surprise but since my mind is always racing with ideas and projects, I tend to hop on my computer for work or start mapping out projects even on my days “off”. Today , I’m back in full swing with work and about half way through my month break from teaching. This weekend, I’ll get back to sharing my home organization projects over on my Instagram stories, so if you love all things baskets, labels, color coordination and more, make sure to follow along 🙂
When it comes to winter fashion, I love to keep it simple (not much different from other times of the year, but super simple). Here in North Carolina, we have rare days when we actually have to wear a full jacket, so I utilize layering as much as I can to avoid pulling out my hefty winter puffer. Because of so, ponchos have become my very best friend! Part of my wardrobe staples are black everyday pieces: long sleeve, leggings, hat, boots, jeans, dress top, cardigan and blazer. I can’t wear all of those with ponchos but I can throw on my favorite faux fur leggings, tuck in a long sleeve tee and tie up my over the knee boots for a quick on-the-go look. Each of these items are ultra comfortable and already in most of our wardrobes so the only pieces I add are the ponchos. Right now, so many of my favorite ponchos are 50% off or more here. This outfit I wore for brunch in Nashville, a cupcake baking party with the STF chapter, to the airport, layover in Atlanta, plane back to NC, to dinner with my mom and out for drinks with friends. And any outfit that can get my through crazy airports and a night in downtown Raleigh is an outfit I need to keep and repeat. Shop my outfit with the widgets below or above.
