LBD with Flare

Hey sweet friends, Happy Monday to ya 🙂 I hope y’all had an amazing weekend and got to indulged in the spring like weather. In NC it has been in the 70s for the past week and a half and I feel like I’m living in another world. I absolutely adore spring weather but I am not 100% ready for spring fashion so I need the snow to creep back in for a few and let us enjoy some more. Am I right?!

So y’all, my full attentions with this adorable dress + new Kendra Scott Spring 2018 Nettie necklace was to take a few professional headshots for my blog, social media, business cards and overall branding for my jobs website and so on. However, when we started shooting I realized how awkward taking headshots were. Does anyone else feel the same way? I have no problem (usually) being in front of the camera for blogging campaigns but as soon as headshots came up, I got so nervous. Anyway, I’m loving this flare sleeve dress for all special occasions this year. If you want a looser fit for more formal events, size up one size and it should be perfect. However, if you like a fitted style then you’ll be good with your normal size. I am wearing my normal size and it hugs all the right places without making me feel restricted from moving or sitting. My Sam Edelman pumps are on a m a j o r sale right now with only a few sizes left so grab yours while you can. They are comfy enough to be worn all day to work and to cocktail hour after.

Y’all, I am so excited to have a moderately calm week where I can focus on rearranging my office (finally got my new chair & artwork) and work more on the blog. Thanks so much for reading <3

  21. Cute outfit! And that’s awesome you’ve got a little downtime to focus on organization and planning 🙂 Haha nooo why did you think headshots are awkward? Personally I really enjoy taking headshots during sessions – the intentionality with the pose, the attention to detail detail, and yet they’re simple so you don’t have to overdo them. (Granted, I said I enjoy taking them as in I’m behind the camera, not in front of it, ha!)
