Everyday Gift Guide for Her

Hey babes! I hope everyone has had a lovely week and is preparing for an awesome weekend. This weekend is my last relaxing weekend for the next month or so and I am pumped to be able to be home. I know that I always say I am cleaning on the weekends, but I honestly am. I have no idea how my 800 square foot one- bedroom condo gets SO dirty, but by the time Friday is here, it looks like WWIII has gone through my home. I totally need to unpack from my trip (yes, the one I’ve been back from for a week and a half) and organize my cabinets. This season, I am really trying to declutter and simplify my home in hopes of living in a calmer space and in the spirit of donating extra blessings. In my life update, I mentioned leaving my job and changing career paths a bit for several reasons. Because of that, I now have a little more time on my hands and want to tackle many of the troubled spaces in my home with that extra time. So, wish me luck y’all! As much as I love donating and recycling, I totally have a hard time letting go of clothing and jewelry but the time has come to get moving on that.

So, most of y’all know that I LOVE gifts: giving gifts, picking out gifts, surprising people with gifts and participating in random acts of kindness. Last year, I rounded up 10 smalls acts of kindness under $10 and y’all, the responses I got back was A M A Z I N G. So today, I’m sharing an everyday gift guide for the woman/girl/lady in your life all from UncommonGoods. UG is amazing because their products are handmade, recycled and organic AKA does not harm the planet or people or animals. Plus, they have an amazing giveback program where you can choose to donate $1 when checking out, which has totaled over $1M in donations since 2001. Something I have recently been wanting to do more of was be a conscious consumer. That basically, for me, means that I want to know who is making the products I purchase, what are their living conditions, if they are being paid fairly and if they are safe from harmful work environments. It sounds like a big task, right? Not at all. Honestly, the more you research who is making your clothing and products, the easier it is to shop guilt free. All of UGs employees are paid a fair living wage, no matter where they live, and are provided with health insurance. I 100% stand behind what they stand for and that is why I am choosing to share them with you.

This roundup was so fun because all of the gifts can be given during special occasions or just on your average Tuesday – it is totally up to you. My favorites are the wine rack, charging purse (so cool, right) and The Future is Female necklace. My common picks are the fruit diffusing water bottle and simple gold necklace, which is what I wear/carry almost everyday.   2. I LOVE Uncommon Goods! I got my brother a set of four drinking glasses for Christmas last year and they were made from recycled glass soda bottles. They’re gorgeous! Anyways, I love those coasters. They’d make such a great house warming gift 🙂

  8. Ooh I bought a girlfriend of mine some agate coasters a while ago and she loved them! (Granted she’s a geologist soooo haha) And I’ve always wanted a pretty cheese slate in the shape of NC. I saw one in a shop once and bought it for a dirty santa one year and really regretted I didn’t pick up a second one for myself.

Haha I would go crazy if I had an unpacked suitcase for that long so get unpacking hun!! 🙂 I do understand you though and just having moved into a new apartment I’ve piled a LOT of things up for charity, selling on flea markets and just thrown away (i.e. recycling). I love companies who take their social responsibility so it’s lovely you’ve put together a gift guide with products from this company and that way you make this planet a bit better, step by step. 🙂

  31. This website looks so so cool! My friend just moved to Paraguay for the Peace Corps and I’ve been promising her a care package but I wasn’t quite sure to put in it. That cutting board and the “Nevertheless, She Persisted” scarf look absolutely perfect!
