Hey friends hey! I hope each and every one of you is having an amazing Tuesday and great start to your week! I just got back from my trip to NYC for the Her Conference and y’all, I am feeling so motivated and ready for whatever this week has to bring! I can’t wait to tell you more about my trip so make sure you’re following along on social media and the blog for a full recap soon! So friends, one of the ways I destress and relax after trips and busy work weeks is through pampering myself at home. I love a good face mask, fresh pedicure, bath and a full night sleep. So, I’m excited to share my guide to putting together your own beauty basket at home with just a few items that you can pick up from your local Walmart.
1 | Loofah – Okay y’all, confession time: I have not used a normal wash cloth in over 3 years. I have a major love for loofahs and always bring a fresh one when traveling and staying at friends houses. I think something about the loofah being able to lather soap more and provide a better “scrubbing” feeling on my skin, has me hooked! Walmart sells multi-packs and I usually pick up about 6 (3 per pack) at the beginning of summer so I can be set when I travel. Whenever I leave a destination, I discard the used loofah and start with a fresh one the next time. Loofahs are the best way to start off your beauty box! 2 | Body Scrub – Is anyone else a little body scrub obsessed like myself? Body scrub is the perfect addition to your beauty box that can be used in the shower or bath. After a long week of traveling and working, a hot shower with brown sugar and vanilla body scrub is something I look forward to. If you prefer baths, I use a little bit of epsom salt in my tub then do a gentle scrub all over my body, especially in my shoulders and upper back to relax my muscles. I head straight to bed after and wake up feeling refreshed, like I have new skin and smelling sweet for the next day. 3 | Sleeping eye mask – Y’all, I have to admit that sleeping with an eye mask always kind of scared me. I have no idea why it did but up until last year, I just refused to give one a try no matter what. After I graduated from college, I had such a hard time getting my sleep schedule in line so I listened to the advice of my friends and tried sleeping masks. Y’all, this has helped me so much! I also installed blackout curtains in my room and started using a cooling eye cream, which both help me relax before me. Plus, whenever I wear my sleeping eye mask I’m less tempted to check my phone through the night. 4 | Nail polish – I’m sure based of my IG and Snapchat stories, you know that there’s nothing a good mani/pedi can’t fix for me! Whenever I want to pamper myself at home, I pick up a new nail color from Walmart to give myself a home pedicure. Whenever I find a color I love, I purchase a few bottles and sometimes take them to the nail salon with me when trying to match shellac colors for my nails. 5 | Nature Made Adult Gummies Biotin – And my most important secret weapon, Nature Made® Biotin Adult Gummies from Walmart! Not only are a great-tasting and easy to consume, they help support healthy hair, skin, and nails in those who are biotin deficient† (like myself). Because Nature Made® Biotin Adult Gummies are USP Verified for potency, purity and quality, I consider them “a gummy you can trust” and have kept them in my beauty routine for ages. By taking them daily, I know I am contributing to healthy skin, hair and nails with 3000 mcgs of biotin! I love that Nature Made® tests their gummies for purity + potency so I get the added assurance that it has the nutrients I need. Through taking my vitamins, consuming enough water and simple expertise, I have definitely been able to see a difference in my beauty health overall. Well friends, that’s all that I have for today! I hope you have a beautiful week and happy Tuesday. Below, let me know what your favorite beauty hacks are and how you take care of your skin, nails and hair daily! -xo, Azanique <3 † These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration.
