Happy Tuesday, sweet friends! I hope you had a beautiful Monday and a great weekend. We got back to NC super late on Saturday, so I spent Sunday slowly getting into my new routine and preparing for a great week. It’s a super busy blogging/business month over here and I am excited that I’m finally getting back into a rhythm after moving. Just to update y’all, I’m still searching for an apartment in Raleigh. Because forreal y’all, moving in the summer is probably the hardest time based on 1. availability 2. prices. I found my dream studio apartment in the neighborhood I love but unfortunately, can’t move in there until August. So I’m back to the drawing board trying to find something else I love + can move in ASAP. If you’re moving now or have moved in the summer, what helped you find a place quickly? I would love to know!
Even though we went home to celebrate my sister graduating high school, we made sure to shoot some new content at the beach and local spots. Y’all, we walked around one of my favorite neighborhoods as a kid and was stunned to see all the new restaurants, tourist spots and waterfront activities. We stumbled upon these fun, colorful sheds and y’all, I wanted to bring them all home with me. I recently picked up this super cute dress (white & purple) on major sale and paired it with my favorite yellow earrings and two-strap sandals to brighten up the look. With temperatures consistently in the 80s-90s in NC, my biggest goal this summer is to find simple pieces that can be styled easily with accessories and less with layering. I’m 99% sure the belt tie is from the dress a shade darker, however, I love the contrast of colors and the illusion of a more cinched-style.
If you’re looking for a dress that’s perfect for work, church, brunch, summer outings and more, this is the perfect fit. One of the best features of this dress is the hidden buttons on the inside. If you have a larger chest (like myself), this is a piece of heaven on earth because these buttons help with gapping. Especially if you are in between sizes (like myself, again), hidden inside buttons allow you to size down and feel confident that the top will stay in place all day long.
Do you guys grab your camera when you see new murals and colorful structures in new places? If so, I would love to know your favorite places you’ve come across anywhere in the US. Let me know in the comments! Thanks so much for reading -xo, Azanique <3
