Happy Wednesday, sweet friends! How are you guys doing?! My fellow North Carolinians & I have been spoiled lately with glimpses of the spring weather and I AM SO EXCITED! Warmer weather means several happy things, such as longer days and fun travel, but something else this means is conference season. March to June is when I see and attend the most conferences, trainings and workshops compared the rest of the year. If you’re anything like me, you love to dress up and make a statement when not only speaking at a conference, but simply just attending. So, why not make the boldest statement in a RL red crepe dress?
I picked up this dress from my tried and true department store just a few weeks ago and now guess what? It’s on clearance for about 20% less than I paid for it. Don’t you just love when that happens? Originally priced at $145 and now under $45, this dress is a perfect staple to add to your closet for years to come. Plus, this brand is one of my favorites for long-term wear through wash after wash.
We have a work conference coming up in just a week, and if you didn’t guess it, I will be wearing this one day. I wore another red dress at a preference conference to present. And even though I’m not presenting this time, I love still dressing like I could be on stage at any time and like my picture will be taken all day long. Plus, since we are the host of the event, we tend to get a tad bit more dressed up than our normal office attire. And to be honest y’all, I’ll take any reason to pull out a new dress and where something more elevated.
What’s your preferred conference and event style? My general rule is to dress up on full days and dress down on half days, which tends to be the last day of the conference. This is also the day where there’s less events happening, you’re probably traveling back home and you more than likely want to be as comfy as possible.

Gosh, I don’t think I’ve ever been to a work conference! I didn’t work in a corporate environment long enough to ever make it to one. But if I HAD gone, I would’ve hopefully picked something as bold and classy as this gorgeous dress!

What a power dress! Not only does it look amazing on you, but it’s the perfect thing to wear to a conference to make a statement. I’ve only been to a few conferences, but I usually dress in something casual classic like a blazer and jeans!
