Good morning, sweet friends! Happy Thursday to ya! We are so close to rounding out the first official week of the year and guess what?! I’m already off track on my goals. Go figure! The hardest thing for me has been making my bed everyday. I know, I know – I should do it. But when I’m ready to go in the morning, I’m ready to go and that means my bed is usually not made when I leave. Outside of that, I’m feeling good about the first week of stepped up habits and staying on track with my quarter one intentions.
If you have been around for a while, you know I have a few favorite colors: blue, purple & green. And right now, I am all over the color purple. In my last post, I mentioned that I was trying Rent The Runway for 2 months since I used Alicia’s discount code making each month only $63 instead of $165. I picked up this fun Ralph Lauren dress because of the cute fit and flare style and because Ralph Lauren is one of my favorite high-quality work wear brands. I wore another RL dress late summer and it became one of my most shopped items. I love love love the simple lined details on several sections of the dress that give it more dimension overall compared to similar fit and flare solid colored styles.
I picked up my shoes on a crazy good sale for $36 from Shopbop last month. Unfortunately they are sold out on their website but I’ve linked them other places also on sale! You guys know I cannot turn down a cute pair of two-strap sandals with this style being the most loved type of shoe in my closet of many, many shoes. With a dress so simple in color and style, this is the perfect opportunity to add a shoe or jewelry pop. Since I picked basic silver jewelry, the shoes are a perfect animal print pop for the office and beyond. I taking these shoes as a sign I need more animal print shoes and am now on the hunt for a cute pair of animal print booties.
