Happy Wednesday, lovely readers. You made it to hump day & you’re one step closer to Friday [throws a mini dance party because the weekend is near]. If you know me, you know that I L O V E wine. There are at least 16 bottles on top of my fridge so I never forget the names of something new, I have a selection of 4+ bottles for guest to choose from when visiting my home and if you’re ever having a dinner party, I’m the person who brings the wine. Safe to say, I’m a bit of a wine lover. So you can only imagine my excitement when I found Winc. A monthly wine subscription service that delivers hand-picked bottles to your door. Not only are you getting wine that you will love, you don’t have to search through the 500+ plus bottles in some of your local grocery stores just to find something new. So, let me tell you how it works.
Create a palette profile – So simple, but so important. Answer 6 straight forward questions about your taste. How do you prefer your coffee? Salt Lover? Yes or no. Do you love those citrus flavors of fruit or not really? Simple enough, right?
Get your recommendations – Once you complete the questions, you’ll be directed to a landing page where 4 bottles have been recommended based on the answers to your palette profile questions. The best part is – if you don’t care for the recommendations, feel free to swap out some other bottles until you’ve created the perfect set.
Create your set – Add to your box then wait for it to be delivered. [Score your first Winc box for only $30 by using code “lotsofsass”]
Once you’ve completed these steps & snagged your first month $22 off with code lotsofsass. Now, you wait. Trust me when I say, the small wait is totally worth it. For my first box, I got matched with and chose these bottles: Wonderful White Blend, La Forza Super Tuscan, Chommie Cabernet Sauvignon and Forma De Vida. And to celebrate spring season, I invited two of my best girlfriends, grabbed the wine & some snacks, and headed out to a picnic in the park. We had the best time conducting our own little wine tasting, chatting about the pairings for each and enjoying a glass (or two or three or four..who’s counting anyway?). Here’s what we agreed on:
Snack best paired with: Pepperoni and cheese spread
Meal best paired with: Potluck roast
Forma De Vida
Snack best pair with: Pimento cheese and crackers
Meal best paired with: Roasted chicken and veggies
Like you can imagine, we all had a a little bit of a different reaction to each wine, but were able to agree on the above notes. The best part was that since this box comes with multiple wines, there was something for each of us to enjoy. & I can ensure you, we enjoyed our time trying out Winc. Check out our time below 🙂
I hope you all enjoyed reading this post. I had so much fun putting this together and enjoying this time with friends, good eats and Winc wines. Don’t forget to use code lotsofsass to receive $22 off of your first month. trywinc.com/lotsofsass

Happy Monday, babes. I hope everyone had a great 3 day weekend & a lovely Easter. For me, this weekend reminded me of how close graduation and change is coming. Today starts my second to last week of my job, last full week of classes and the last week of all my student organizations. How crazy, right?! I know. Time has seriously flew by, but I am so eager to start my big girl job & graduate from college on May 5th.
A major trend I am seeing this season is bold prints. From colorful flowers, to the green tropic prints to multi-color poems on everything – bold prints and statement colors are totally in right now. This BuddyLove dress fits right into that trend! On first glance, this dress seriously reminds me of a mermaid (may or may not be the reason why I needed it in my closet so bad) and the colorful mix of hot pink and royal blue really caught my eye. I am super excited to share this cute dress with you and show you how much fun I had accessorizing. I pair this dress with my favorite strappy black heels, clutch from Lime Dot Shop, cute bangles from Etsy & the cutest drop tassel earrings that are all the rage this season.
P.S. – As so many changes are happening in my life, I am thinking of new fun ways to change up and help my blog stand out. A major issue that I have seen for many of my fashionista’s entering the professional is world is that they can never find cute work clothes that show their personality and are trendy, but also follow dress codes. (Ya know, OTS tops are cute, but not at your job girl!) So, I am thinking of starting a Workwear Wednesday category. Basically, every Wednesday I would blog on a cute workday outfit and workday comfort for the hot summer days. I just recently started shopping for a new summer work wardrobe and have had the hardest time, so I want to share this experience with you and help you navigate summer fashion trends for the workplace. Like this idea? Let me know in the comments. If you have done this series before or have read a lot of post on it, let me know that too!
Happy Monday, babes. Can I just share with you all how excited I am for this week? First, the weather will be more than beautiful. I mean, 70-80 all week, which is my ideal of perfect weather. Also, this week, we’re down in the 20’s for the countdown until graduation. HOLLA! & This week I am finishing up with most of my student organizations that I have been part of for years now. While I am nervous, and a little sad about leaving, that is just one more thing that signifies being close to done college. Not to mention, 4 weeks from today I be starting my grownup post-graduation job. ICYMI that news, you can check out my life update here: Click here!
This weekend, I attended an amazing conference at UNC Chapel Hill. There’s nothing I love more than being surrounded by like-minded individuals and engaging in thoughtful, respectful, honest and dense research. I mean, seriously. The conference ended with a visit and talk by Chimamanda. If you haven’t heard of her, you need to look up her TED talks. This women is amazing. So honest and raw about her many experiences both here in the US, and in her native country, Nigeria. Her most powerful TEDTalk discussed the problems when face when we only listen to, observe and learn about one side of a story. Powerful words and stories that can be applied at any time in history.
So anyway, you probably know by now that I am obsessed with white jeans. During the winter, the summer, the fall, practically whenever – I will find a way to pull out white jeans. As spring approaches, I am loving all the neutral and semi-neutral tones with a pop of color. This top is from The Copper Petal, but is similar to the Piko style tops. They are so comfy and pair well with anything. I had a total arm party today & stacked with pieces of complimenting colors and a variety of textures. I can’t be the only one who gets excited for a good arm party, right? Anyway, I hope everyone has a wonderful day and a beautiful week. I will be enjoying this weather every second I get and soaking up this last bit of my college life.
