    Saint Mystic Pink Dress

    Styling bold prints from BudyLove

This post was sponsored by BuddyLove. As always, all opinions are my own.

Happy Monday, babes. I hope everyone had a great 3 day weekend & a lovely Easter. For me, this weekend reminded me of how close graduation and change is coming. Today starts my second to last week of my job, last full week of classes and the last week of all my student organizations. How crazy, right?! I know. Time has seriously flew by, but I am so eager to start my big girl job & graduate from college on May 5th.

A major trend I am seeing this season is bold prints. From colorful flowers, to the green tropic prints to multi-color poems on everything – bold prints and statement colors are totally in right now. This BuddyLove dress fits right into that trend! On first glance, this dress seriously reminds me of a mermaid (may or may not be the reason why I needed it in my closet so bad) and the colorful mix of hot pink and royal blue really caught my eye. I am super excited to share this cute dress with you and show you how much fun I had accessorizing. I pair this dress with my favorite strappy black heels, clutch from Lime Dot Shop, cute bangles from Etsy & the cutest drop tassel earrings that are all the rage this season.

P.S. – As so many changes are happening in my life, I am thinking of new fun ways to change up and help my blog stand out. A major issue that I have seen for many of my fashionista’s entering the professional is world is that they can never find cute work clothes that show their personality and are trendy, but also follow dress codes. (Ya know, OTS tops are cute, but not at your job girl!) So, I am thinking of starting a Workwear Wednesday category. Basically, every Wednesday I would blog on a cute workday outfit and workday comfort for the hot summer days. I just recently started shopping for a new summer work wardrobe and have had the hardest time, so I want to share this experience with you and help you navigate summer fashion trends for the workplace. Like this idea? Let me know in the comments. If you have done this series before or have read a lot of post on it, let me know that too!

    Spring into Neutrals

    White jeans + piko top

Happy Monday, babes. Can I just share with you all how excited I am for this week? First, the weather will be more than beautiful. I mean, 70-80 all week, which is my ideal of perfect weather. Also, this week, we’re down in the 20’s for the countdown until graduation. HOLLA! & This week I am finishing up with most of my student organizations that I have been part of for years now. While I am nervous, and a little sad about leaving, that is just one more thing that signifies being close to done college. Not to mention, 4 weeks from today I be starting my grownup post-graduation job. ICYMI that news, you can check out my life update here: Click here!

This weekend, I attended an amazing conference at UNC Chapel Hill. There’s nothing I love more than being surrounded by like-minded individuals and engaging in thoughtful, respectful, honest and dense research. I mean, seriously. The conference ended with a visit and talk by Chimamanda. If you haven’t heard of her, you need to look up her TED talks. This women is amazing. So honest and raw about her many experiences both here in the US, and in her native country, Nigeria. Her most powerful TEDTalk discussed the problems when face when we only listen to, observe and learn about one side of a story. Powerful words and stories that can be applied at any time in history.

So anyway, you probably know by now that I am obsessed with white jeans. During the winter, the summer, the fall, practically whenever – I will find a way to pull out white jeans. As spring approaches, I am loving all the neutral and semi-neutral tones with a pop of color. This top is from The Copper Petal, but is similar to the Piko style tops. They are so comfy and pair well with anything. I had a total arm party today & stacked with pieces of complimenting colors and a variety of textures. I can’t be the only one who gets excited for a good arm party, right? Anyway, I hope everyone has a wonderful day and a beautiful week. I will be enjoying this weather every second I get and soaking up this last bit of my college life.

Love this pretty top c/o Lynn at Lularoe. Usually, I wouldn’t pick something this colorful for myself, but Lynn was great with helping me find something a little different and fun for spring. I paired this top with my favorite two-piece sandals (similar | similar | similar) and ripped jeans. Super casual, comfy & fun 🙂

Life update: So, as many of you know, I am a graduating senior this year. Since December, I have been applying and interviewing for jobs everywhere. Not only have I been try to this, I’ve also been finishing up classes, my internships, my student organizations, my volunteer positions and also trying to move. It’s been a crazy past few months – to say the least. If you know me, you know that I have been stressed about making this decision and going back and fourth with myself about what to do and how to plan for the future. I am someone who is always thinking about 10 steps ahead of every decision.

I am so excited to say that I’ve accepted a full-time position to start the week after graduation. I am so grateful for this opportunity and for the many years of success I have had as a student at East Carolina University. With 38 days to graduation, I can finally breathe knowing that I have a job set already. Also, huge thanks to my readers for being so patient and understanding and wishing me well. I greatly appreciate every email, snapchat and comment left 🙂

So, what does this mean for y’all ? Luckily, I will be back in action on my blogging game posting 2-3 times a week. I am so excited to share some amazing new brands with y’all and really dive more into my blog. In just a few short months, my blog has developed into a hobby that I love so much. For my upcoming graduates, I would love to hear about your post-graduation plans! I want to be excited for you! Leave me a comment & let me know 🙂
